Delivery high quality services is paramount to us, therefore we selection our members of staff based on their level of aptitude for supporting others. Our internal recruiting policies and procedures in compliance with the ‘Warner Report -Choosing with Care’. Our staff are well trained and are expected to complete both mandatory training and specialising training depending on their role. Our a given regular management supervision to promote professional development and to prevent staff from feeling burnt out. We undertake regular quality monitoring audits to promote continuous improvement within our services and to ensure that young people’s needs are being effectively met. At Zara Healthcare Ltd we work collaboratively with a various professionals and agencies which widen our range of expertise, experience, and good practice within the organisation.

At Zara Healthcare Ltd we have care coordinators and managers who meet service users prior to commencing service, to agree the care needs requirements of service users and assess everyone before service is offered including aspects such as when the service will begin and the times, frequency, and duration of care to be provided.

Our Support Workers are trained, supervised, and supported to provide a quality service to a wide range of people who have care and support need whist living in their own homes, ensuring that:

Service users feel that they are treated with respect and valued as a person, and their right to privacy is upheld.

Service users are empowered to make their own decisions and control their own lives and are supported in maintaining their independence.

All service users are treated equally and are protected against any form of discrimination.

Service users care plans are produced through consultation with them, including information about care needs, wishes, preferences and personal goals.

Specialist tasks:.

There are aspects of the service that we provide which require our Support Worker to be trained specifically to undertake such tasks. The Support Worker will be trained in the procedure before performing the task with the service users, and a trainer with relevant qualification will sign a form to indicate that the care worker has completed the training and is competent in undertaking the task.

Tasks requiring specialist training include:

Assisting with artificial feeding

Changing sterile dressings

Catheter care – changing bags, monitoring output.

Tracheotomy care – oral suctioning

Assistance with eye or ear drops.

Ileostomy and colostomy care – changing of bags.
